Feature
Never exceed the recommended battery voltage listed on the package. Do not use a separate battery supply with this controller. Never disconnect the battery supply when the motor is running. We strongly suggest that you use an overload fuse in the battery circuit. For example, a motor will run at 4 amps therefore a 5 amp speed controller is adequate. If the motor is stalled or stopped, with the power on, then it will draw 15 to 20 amps and burn out the speed controller. An overload fuse can prevent this type of damage. Also, the BEC provides a regulated power supply to the receiver. Usually about .5amps. A stalled servo can draw 2 or 3 amps and damage the BEC which in turn can cause damage to the receiver.
